Reflection

I love the idea of service learning in schools. I think that it teaches kids a lot of what they do not know about their own community. When I was going through high school and even CCD I had to do community service and I loved it. I live in Cumberland and it is a small town so everybody already knows basically knows everybody. When I did my community service I did it at a nursing home and the residents there told me stories about how things were so different back when they were growing up. I loved hearing the stories they had and I even heard old war stories from some of the gentlemen. Kids these days have no idea what it is like to help people out all they want to do is play on their video games. I think because they play video games all day kids are not fun to be around because they are very rude. If they start getting fresh air and help the community they would be nicer people.
